Man oh man, that was tough last night. Makes you think hard, real hard. Ive got xm radio and happened across a few talk shows talking about how gourey it was, but i say ," its a freaking true story people". Its not half as bad as the vampire , jason flicks they make but nothing is said about the blood in them. Go see this one , youll be glad you did. take a friend thats not a regular in church it will speak volumes.

Graphic and Brutal. We took our kids last night; yes my 10 year old girl and 14 year old son... Their eyes are wide open to what Jesus endured in his final hours. So am I!

Can't wait to see it. Kinda distorts that image most people have of the cross...nothing nice about it. Did you know that crucifixion was so horrible that it was illegal for a Roman citizen to be put to death on the cross?

To think...the Creator of all things made Himself a man...and allowed simple, puny men that He created to kill Him like that...so that those same men and countless millions of us thousands of years later would have a choice of where we would like to spend eternity. All the while He had legions of angels waiting on His command and He could've releived Himself of it all.

we may go to church every sunday, pray, go to bible study or what ever RELIGIOUS stuff we do. this movie was a big reality check for me, tells me i don't do anything to honor my lord, i dont sacrafice nothing, compared to what the son of God did for us! im just filthy in his sight. Praise God for his Son!

I don't think it is too much for kids. They have seen much worse than that and the fact is is that this is the truth. It is amazing how everyone just has the idea of a guy suffering going to the cross but not ever really thinking about it. That movie really shows you what Jesus endured. It is very tough to imagine how terrible it really must have been. The entire movie is in Hebrew, or Latin (I think Latin) so you have to read the entire movie. But honestly the pictures do all the talking. But the reason this movie is so incredible is it doesn't sugar coat anything. All the other movies about the subject and stuff are sugar coated. This one lays it out for you like it really happened. GREAT MOVIE!!!!!!!! EVERYONE SHOULD GO SEE IT!!!!!!! TAKE A LOST PERSON!!!!!!!

I've seen a lot of promotion for this movie and followed the controversy to some extent. I'm sure my opinion will not be popular, I'm used to that, but I can't imagine goin to see this movie unless I was Cathloic and had the guilt thing going on. Like everyone, I've read the story, know how it ends and don't wish to see a replay in big screen color.

To each his own. I am impressed Gibson took on the subject matter and laud him for it, but it's not for me. Yes, some will say you have to see it THEN form an opinion, but no thanks, I'll get by without it, not enjoyable on any level.

boog the closed minded?

booga, i respect your opinion, but i really think this movie will have some positive affect on everbody who sees it. although it shouldnt have taken hollywood to move us, weve had it in black and white for a long time. we all should have been moved just as much by the Bible, and its words alone, but were human. Its just something about seeing it and knowing it was done as close to what actually happened as we can depict. that is what it is, its just close to being there and watching the Son suffer for YOU and everbody on this planet. whether its hollywood or not its moving.AMEN.

It amazes me we are willing to spend $50 on 1 hat that only means we are a part of a web site........when we will not spend $50 to take our family to SEE the truth........

Hold on..... BD dont get mad... Iam not singling you or anyone out just trying to make a point as to the fact that the American settlers came here to freely worship the one and only true living GOD.........

In fact, BD I am with RH on this one ,if you dont think you need to change it and some of things WE do in this country I will split the cost with RH

I am Chatolic also and am not sure of the "Catholic guilt" thing. If any thing I need to see it to fully appreicate what Jesus went through. Listening to and see "Jesus Christ Superstar" in the 70's just made it seem cool that he went through with the crusafixtion(sp?). This has the impact to make you feel it as he felt it(emotionally of course not physically) and reafirm the fact that we are unworthy on alot of levels and fall short of being worthy of salvation but can attain it through his sacarfice! Praise be his name! Booger, I do respect your oppion as we have had the "book" all these years and know how it ends. Are you basing not wanting to see it because Mel Gibson is a Catholic? It is being used as a evangelic tool by Protasten and Catholic churches alike. In Covington La., 5-6 churches (protestant) got together to man a tent outside of the theater so people can come in and speak to someone about what they just saw or to be saved if so moved. I think that is awsome in this day and age and the best part is, it will remain open until Easter! Good for them I say.
