I'm going to be in McComb for the next couple of weeks working and I wanted to know if there are any good sporting good stores in the area? Say within, 50 miles?

not really.... I have an archery shop in my store in Summit, but we're re-doing the whole thing (expanding) and haven't ordered in a while so as to make the process easier.. show orders should be in directly though. Waldo's in Columbia is about the closest, right at your driving range. What kind of work ?

I am a supervisor for Custom Air that oversees ground spraying crews that contract out with Entergy. Basically I keep chemicals stocked and hold the permit for the chemicals. I also take the epic booty chewings from homeowners when the Mexicans spray an old lady's flowers.

I have a lot of free time during the day so I have to find something to do while staying in the general area in case something happens.

Suggestions are encouraged, better yet mandatory.

Man what are you talkin' bout...I have never seen such a police presence in my life- which is good except when I'm getting pulled over. City, Sheriff, MHP- all of em.

We are actually in between McComb and Tylertown which is about 20 miles away. There is road construction between the two and it's a feeding frenzy. These idiots are hauling booty knowing the MHP is around. Not once have I come through and didn't see them writing someone up.

I reckon I'll just go into NO one night and find something to do.

The rivers in the area are pretty;I may bring my canoe next time. I keep forgetting the closer to the Gulf you get the better chance you have of water actually still being in the river.

Hattiesburg is a little over 50 miles from Tylertown, but all you have there is Gander Mountain. Will be getting an Academy soon.

Float the Bogue chitto river and catch some fish. Stay off the sandbars and keep your beer in the cooler around the water park they getting touchy around them parts, handing out tickets for free.

Free you say? Now that's a deal!

Why do you have to stay off the sand bars? I rode through the park in the Emerald area and the river looks nice from the bank. If we are still here next week I am definitely going to slide the canoe in for some fishing.

The canoe and trail outpost in tylertown is pretty good for floating or canoeing the river. Last time i went with them, there was not that many people on that area of the river.
