Lake Washington Crappie

Postby one more pass » Thu Feb 19, 2004 2:21 pm

Was wondering if any of you guys could share a little info about this lake to me. I will be fishing in a crappie tourn. this Saturday and I haven't fished this lake in years and when I did it was spring time. Any info would be greatly appreciated!!

Two possibilities. Mind you I haven't been lately but you might try the big cypress on the south end . Put in at the public ramp in Glen Allen and head WSW. The big males are the first to move in. If they aren't there try the deeper open water approximately halfway of the lake. Use your depth finder to locate schooling fish. Should be about 12-14 ft. deep in 16- 20 ft. water. But like I said you need to use your depthfinder.

If you do find them shallow try the alligator hole on the NorthWest part of the lake also.

I would almost guarantee that the majority of crappie are still schooled up in the deeper water. Hope it doesn't rain on you and good luck.

I hope this helps.

Thanx Duck for the info. I think they are still schooled up my self. I'm going to give it a try trolling in the narrow part of the lake.
