I dont know really where to start but to say Thank You!! The event was better than I could have imagined. The chain of events that came together to make this day happen couldn't have been by chance.

I met The Tower of Hope in St. Louis back in January and brought their message and mission to Southern Flight and North MS Amateur Ret. Club for help with doing a charity event to rasie money to support their effort.

It was embraced by everyone and the wheels were set in motion and the pieces begain to fit together.

*A big Thank You to everyone that donated and Participated! We raised as of today $7700.00 before expenses to net around $6500.00+.

What an incrediable day! Never before has there been so many different types of dog people in one place! We had an obediance club, search and rescue, service dogs, & retrievers. We had Hunt test people, Field Trial People, AKC/UKC, competative obediance and we all learned something from each other and were able to see many different aspects of what these animals are capable of beside just retrieving. And also realized that there are other breeds of dogs besides labs!

If I missed anybody please speak up! So much going on and the emotions I felt throughout the day were incrediable.

What a community we have and we extended that to encompass even more this weekend. Southern Flight has truly evolved into something more than just a dog club and I'm proud to be a part of it and proud to know everyone of you!

...it was also cool to see cdwyer in the giant marshmallow man suit get tackled by a malamar...there are not many events that I attend where I can see that...

Hello Charles, and Belinda. Janis and I felt very welcomed at the fundraiser this past weekend. We felt so apreciated by so many of the participants and doners to the Tower of Hope cause. Janis and I are most apprecitive of the the recognition that was shown to us. I am just a humble retiree that feels he deserves none of the praise and recognition others place on him. I feel I have been given so much by so many that I feel the need to return the gift of life to others through giving of my time to the causes of helping others who are in need. Many soldiers feel as I do. We do our jobs because we want to give something back to our country and community. Wow! What a day Saturday, huh!!!! I'm so impressed with the turn-out and the organization of all aspects of the event! You and yours deserve a huge thank you from Tower of Hope, as well as from Frank and me. I couldn't have been more pleased to have had the event on our place and hope that you'll want to have it here again. Y'all really did a bang-up good job from beginning to end. I have made a few notes for myself for future reference in the event they're needed. Want to help all we can. One of the most pleasing parts of the hunt test portion of the day was to see AKC and HRC folks together doing the same thing. That was a lot of fun - different.
