Anybody headed over? If so, shoot me a PM. I have to meet at the home office Friday morning and I plan on spending the rest of the weekend at the Hoover Met.

Your team & your wife's team have both been eliminated.

No regional for Aub. All they had to do was win 1 game.

Yeah, we are here and we'll stay to the end. I've been the last few years when MSU did not even make an appearance. Its great place to watch baseball and my little boy likes going to the park.

As for the NCAA, I'm sure we are 2 and out.

as a staunch supporter/graduate of auburn university it is too bad that they couldnt win at least one game to be eligible for the ncaa tourney. i have watched/listened to many games this year and they were a schizophrenic team at best. its almost fitting that they dont get to play in the postseason with all the ways they shot themselves in the foot this year. i cannot count the ninth inning meltdowns and the giveaways. bet they wish they had showed up for the games lost against radford, bethune-cookman, south alabama (twice) and samford (twice), not to mention the georgia game they led 11-5 in the ninth only to give them 9 runs to lose 11-14. 1-2 against tennessee....really. thanks to us they upped their sec record to 7-23. sorry for the rant, just needed to vent.

that being said, i enjoy watching anybody play college ball, especially in the tourney at the met. i also will go when auburn is not there (which has been frequent lately). when you have access to the ac with free beer and food for 4 games in one day it certainly aint bad. hope vandy, sc and fla continue to carry the torch to omaha.

Great scenery in that place! The girls wear shirts that read "the best tail in town". The food rocks, too. Over by the Galleria, there is a good sportsbar called OnTap. Many, many brews.

If you like Chicago style deep dish pizza, Tortugas is the place. They are across Hwy 150 from Academy Sports (very close to the stadium).

The best BBQ secret in town is near the stadium, too. Moe's BBQ is about 2 - 3 miles west down Hwy 150 from the turn to the stadium road. Banana pudding is a vegetable at Moe's, so it's okay, eat all you want. :D

Good sushi is at Sumo at the Patton Creek shopping area (also where Cajun Steamer is located).

ANd since you are over here, you should head up Hwy 31, past the I-65 bridge, and visit Mark's Outdoors. It's not quite Cabelas, but is is still a cool place. You can leave a lot of money in that store, so be warned. And across Hwy 31 from Mark's is the famous Diplomat Deli. One of the best beer stores in the state.
