I have had the best results with Sportsmans Pride lamb and rice. Does a good job with deltas coat. She seems to have more energy and "staying power" since I switched from the ole roy. The best part is that I don't have to feed her nearly as much...........less to clean up!

Two of the best dog foods out are Pro Plan and Eukanuba. The have alot of research backing them. And because of this, they are kinda pricey. I use the Maximum Nutrition brand sold by Wal Mart. It is also a high quality dog food. Slightly lower in quality than the first two I mentioned. But, it is also lower in price. I use the 30/20 chicken, chicken meal formula. For your dogs sake, please stop feeding him Old Roy. Their quality control is some of the lowest in the business. I would rather feed my dog table scraps. If you switch to any of the three that I mentioned you will notice less stools, higher energy, and a shiner coat. This is a sign of good health. I hope that this information helps you.

yea i have only fed her a few bags of that ole roy, and i figure if i spend all my time and money, and all the hard work she puts out for me, i owe it to her to have a healty diet.

There are lots of good dog foods on the market, however, "Ol' Roy" ain't one of them, not even close. Excellent brands are Eukanuba, Pro-Plan and the high performance brand sold at Sam's is also very good. But, stay away from Ol' Roy. In this case, you really are getting what you're paying for....not much. The best dog foods have two things in common: Chicken based and highly digestable. Digestability, in simple terms, refers to the amount the dog eats, versus the amount of the poop stool. The smaller the stool, the more digestable (better quality) the food is.

Purina Pro One for my lab. This food has been great for him. Talk about a shiny healthy looking coat. That stuff has really done the trick. It is not the cheapest food out there, but it is certainly not the most expensive either.

Diamond adult (green bag) for my 2 1/2 year old female who tends to run a little heavy if she is not worked regularly. I am switching to diamond adult pro for my 9 months old male in a month or so.

A vet turned me on to the MAX NUTRITION. He said for the money and the results you can't go wrong and they sell Science Diet and Uka. I have been using it for 4 years.
