I got a call from a family that started attending out church a few weeks ago. They are in need of a job real bad. They have 4 kids and are living in a hotel, and were about to get put out on the streets this morning. I was able to pay for them to stay 1 more week in the hotel and took them some food. But not sure how much longer they can hold on. They are in need of food, shelter, clothes (all thier clothes were stolen out of thier Van that they have been forced to sleep in from time to time)... Any and all help would be appreciated.

The man has had experience working at an Infinity Dealership and has his trucking license too. The lady said she can clean houses or do whatever to pay thier way.

Where are they living ? I may have something for them both in Calhoun Co. in N. MS.

They are in Jackson MS right now. I just met with them this morning and don't know thier full story. But apparently there are not any shelters that will take a family unless they prove they are married. And the family lost all of thier records when they could not pay for a storage room in IL. So they will either have to split the family up or live in the van. And if JPS finds out they are living in a van they will come take the kids..

If they would be willing to come up to desoto I will c what I can find

Thanks.. I will see what if any possibility of them moving is. But I think right now thier immideated needs are food, clothes and shelter. They are supposed to be getting a Tax return in a few weeks that will help them maybe get into an apartment, but a Job is the most pressing need.

about what size clothes? shoes?

Oh man. What can we do? Can we set up some type of donation account or something like we did for the kids a while back that didnt have money for Christmas? Im in Amory but will do whatever I can. Please keep us posted.

Nothing worse than a family in trouble. I know we all cut up and BS alot on here but we all are very fortunate that we can spend money to fish and duck hunt and have expensive leases to play, while these people just wanna give there kids a hot meal and a roof over there head. I Know God has blessed me and Im willing to help out any way I can to help those in need because he could take it all away in a heart beat!

They have 3 boys ages 11, 6 and 5 and a little girl age 2.. I took them some diapers and wipes and about a week's worth of food. I have got a few pm's about wanting to send money. I called and she said she does have an account, but that she does not really have an address to send money to because they don't know how long the will be in the hotel. If you want to send money I can collect it and take it to them, just PM me and I will give you my address.

can she clean rooms at hotel for them to stay their? maybe wash dishes in restaurant if they have one there on site? kids in public school? they should be be getting two meals there. i'm sure there is a lawn service there that could use a good hand or two. i wish i could help out more. just tossing some ideas out there.

glad i read this post as i was feeling kinda low today. makes me thankful for what i do have and don't have.

no offense to these people but i might be a good idea to send the money to cwink and let him do the spending just make sure the money goes where it is needed best.

Hopefully we can do something to get them on the right track.

I will also be talking to some our home missions director at the skool tomorrow and c what we can do
