Anybody used the DVD series Fowl Dawg by Rick Stawski to train a dig before? If so how is it and does the DVD take you step by step in order of what to do?

I bought the Fowl Dogs set after having it recommended by several folks with a lot more experiance in training than myself. I like the DVDs Rick gives you a lot of information and if your like me just a guy wanting a good gun dog and maybe run HTs sometimes, it's all you need, plus at under $60 for all three DVDS it's hard to beat.

I use him and he really does a great job explaining what he is doing and WHY he's doing it. He does not use a grand champion to teach you, the dogs he uses in the videos are dogs that are doing some of these concepts for the first time or early in their training. He addresses problems that may arise and ways to fix them as they arise.

My pup has turned out to be a fairly good gun dog and I plan on testing her once the funds are available. I would recommend his stuff.

I used Rick's DVD's. They are very good and very detailed on what they cover. I can echo what the previous post said...he takes dogs that are at the particular stage in their training and you get to see dogs being dogs. Some of the other videos show FC dogs doing simple training drills and then you wonder why your dog isn't doing it right. Even if the series isn't exactly what you want, you can't beat $60 for all 3 DVD's.
