Can't speak about them, because I don't have a set, but I would have to think that a bipod would be more steady than a monopod. (twice as steady)
It's better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

I have the tripod and love it! I like how fast you can have them up and ready, but I will agree with others they are expensive.

I have made a couple sets of shooting sticks out of fiberglass sign stakes from Lowes or Home Depot. They are usually by the garage sale signs. I put a piece of rubber tubing over the end of each steak where the gun will rest, and drill a tiny hole and run good nylon (decoy string) cord and tie them together. I've shot several coyotes and deer of them. Total cost is less than $10. If you lose them, it's no big deal. I've had on set for about 8 years and they don't break.

I have an monopod for turkey hunting I bought for $10. The monopod for turkey hunting I find is better because you can pick it up and move it a lot easier than when you have two sticks on a bipod to deal with. You give up a little stability, but since it's easy to pick it up, you don't have to move as much, which is most important with turkey hunting.

My dad bought the primos Trigger stick monopod for turkey hunting and it works great. If you are using it mostly for turkeys, get the monopod. If you are using it just for deer, get the bipod (longer shots and greater stability is needed).
