Well I'd like to say I'm going down to buy a SBE II but like most these days money is tight. At this point I'm torn between the mossberg 935 and the stoeger 3500. I know both are totally different as operational and I have no problem cleaning my guns. I've shot the 935 and the only flaw I have with it is that is doesnt shoulder well for me. I'm really interested in the stoeger 3500 and the inertia system but I dont know the quality of these guns nor have I ever shot one. Does anyone on a stoeger and does it function well for you? Any flaws with the gun?

man stoger is just a lesser quality beneli, but if you shop around you can find good deals on slightly used autos. I got a berretta 391 ureka for prob less than either of those new and its a great gun, and was barely used

Stoeger, Berretta, Benelli, and Franchi are all owned by Berretta, just manufactured in different plants. I always stayed open minded bout Benelli's until this season. One guy in our group has a 1 yro SBE2 and nearly every hunt by the end of the day he was shooting a $1300 single-shot. Made up my mind for me. HE also took extremely good care of the gun and cleaned it regularly. Two other guys were shooting gas operated Berettas with no problems and I was shooting my SX3 never had a hick-up. With regular cleaning I would take a gas gun over inertia. The up side is with the Stoeger I would not get as pizzed off when a $400 gun jammed as oposed to a $1300 gun.
Damn, i thought I had that one

Is that buddy of yours tryin to blow that call or make love to it?

Why buy a gun that doesn't shoulder well for you? That will only lead to frustration, missed shots and probably another gun purchase in the not so distant future. I think you should eliminate the 935 as an option for that reason.....

I have always shot a benelli and they don't like cleaning and oil. I clean my once a year and that's shooting black cloud too. Only need one drop of oil about every 200 shots. They really don't like oil.
