I have a Stoeger M2000 that I need a gunsmith to take a look at. It's been sitting in the gun cabinet for 2 seasons now and I think it's time to get it fixed. The guns jams every time I shoot it and the pull back bolt on the action fell off, lost forever in the bottom of a slough. I have cleaned the gun a number of times and it still jams every shot. Does anybody know a good gunsmith that works on Stoeger shotguns around the Byram or Clinton area? Thanks for any help!

Billy Tierce 885-9297.

My best friend had a shotgun stay at Swann's until Swann had Billy Tierce do the work. Complete waste of time after Swann said he could do it.

Others on this forum weren't very impressed with his work either: http://www.msgunowners.com/t5311-who-is ... ifications

----"Yeah I haven't been impressed with Swann's. Had a friend take them a bolt out of a Savage that was having an issue and they but the bolt back together wrong....not too good"

----"Swann's can't pour pi$$ out of a boot"

I have never had a bad experience with Tierce's work on any of my guns.

I have never heard a single person complain about Swanns, and everyone that I hunt with from the Jackson area swears by him. As do lots of folks on this board. He has done very good work for me, and I am pretty ticky about my guns. YMMV.

Swanns, vans and great southern as well as all the other gun dealears in the jacktown area contract all their work to Billy, if you dont believe me take a tuesday off from life and sit in the parking lot and watch him make his rounds pickin up and droppin off guns.

Swanns is a nice guy if he thinks you have money, went in one day in carhardt overalls and he wouldnt even talk to me, a week later dropped by in business dress and couldnt get enough service. Billy Teirce is the man!!

Swanns has always done top notch at a very reasonable price for me! Twice in the last 12 years my gun has broken during the season and not only has Swanns done an excellent job, but he has also gotten my gun back to me in less than a week for a lot less than I thought and half the price of any other quotes I received....

Like GC I too am very particular on who works on my guns....
