Two companies that still do it right, first last week I managed to loose my bolt handle on my Franchi I-12, this was the first time I have ever had a problem with it so I wasn't sure who to turn to, my 3 year warranty was up. I called Franchi customer service and without any questions they sent me a new one(no charge). Then I lost my caps for my Swift scope, couldn't find anyone who had them so I called Swift and once again no questions asked and they sent me new caps(no charge). I was not trying to get anything free, just wasn't sure who to call and both companies stood behind their products, even Swift when it was clearly my fault. I know we are not talking about big ticket items, but a dollar saved is always good :D I have also had the same experience with Cabela's.

Wish my experience with Swift had been that way. They used to allow dealers to warranty their products. They stopped. So I shipped a scope I had dropped to them. I was honest with them, and they said I could have a 25% discount on my next Swift scope but that mine was shot. The main problem was that the threads on the rear eye piece had been knocked off. It would shoot, but it would no longer zoom and looked fuzzy.

My buddy had the same thing happen. He sent his to Nikon. They sent a free replacement.

I now own a Nikon.

Sorry to hear that smoke68. I have about nine swift scopes and one Nikon on my 444 and I have the fuzzy vision problem with it, I might send it back and see if there is anything they can do after the season is over.

It's water under the bridge at this point. I don't hold it against them as it was my fault that I dropped the scope. But if another company is going to go the extra mile and replace it anyways, I'll go with them every time.

Same story on dog collars. I had an Innotek for about a year and somehow it got water in it. I called them and they said I just needed to buy a new one. My buddy has had all kinds of warranty work done with Tri-tronics, and he's never had to pay a dime. Now all I'll buy is Tri-tronics due to their customer service, not to mention they offer a superior product.

I don't get mad about this kind of stuff, but I do have a long memory. Now if only these dag-gum cell phone companies had any quality customer service......

Everyone says that but i've always had outstanding customer service with AT&T. I have a CellularSouth phone too so i know about the whole coverage area thing. I've had tons of issues over my 15 or so years with them. Well, just recently I looked at my draft amount for my bill and noticed it was 2.5 times the normal amount. They draft it out of my office credit card. We've never used all of our minutes and had a ton of rollover built up....but somehow over the last couple of months have used all of them and then some. Well, the bill was already paid and I dropped my Iphone and broke the screen so went in to get another one. With no questions asked they changed my plan and backdated it to cover when we started using more minutes...which gave me a credit so I haven't even had a bill in the last month. So, i guess the customer service isn't all that bad across the board.

"Thank you for calling USA Prime Credit, this Peggy..."

No doubt, a great ad campaign and represents today's current issues with offshore manufacturing and outsourced customer service. Love it, especially the one with Bobby Bowden.

Sorry for getting off base, carry on.....

Yeah everyone I meet fits the 3-2-1 rule.

They've only killed 3 mallards this hunt, two bucks this season, or had 1 beer before driving.

Weird how that works out.
