Boot stretching

Postby mshunter77 » Tue Dec 28, 2010 10:55 am

Anybody ever used a boot stretcher or had their boots stretched. I got a new pair of rocky western wellingtons for christmas and they are to small. I got them on a 15 and they dont come in a bigger size so exchanging them is not an option. So i was wondering how much you could actually stretch a boot.

You can stretch instep and width (no, those are not the same thing) but not length. But stretching the width might help, worth a try. Go by Boots and More on High St

Fill your bath tub up with hot water, put on a thick pair of socks and stuff your feet in the boots, stand in the water for a few minutes and then wear them til they dry, do it a few times if you need too. My girlfriend bought me a pair of work boots that were normal width and I have a wide ass foot and they fit just fine now.

Yea Rocky boots run small. I wear a 15 as well and the only way I've found to stretch em is to just keep on hoofing it til they get big enough...

Mink oil on the outside till they soften up a little then pour 1/2 a bottle of rubbing alcohol in each boot wear them for a couple hours and your done.
