normally wouldn't, but sucks this year.

ive found a few places that have water still in them. i hate to know how deep the mud is around the edge before the water though. Last season was a bust and i deer hunted more. if it dont come a friggen monsoon to fill up some holes i might deer hunt alot more this year

+1, Im with you Bullet. I would go out on a limb and say that once it does start raining, it gonna rain for a while. And you have another tropical depresssion that is forcasted to move into the gulf next week. Been a while since one made it in there instead of going up the east coast. Maybe it will head this way and dump some rain but not be anything catastrophic or severe. Now as far as being cold, that is up in the air (pun intended). I would love to think it is going to get cold and stay cold. But I am sure it will be one of them years where it is cold then some mornings you will be fighting skeeters in December.

It's so hot and dry, you're probably gonna have to turn the wells on again before the season opens.

We have water and always have. When the delta is bone dry, we have a great shoot, (not hunt, but shoot). This year is looking to be one of the best. Tick tock.
