Alan Sandifer in Hopewell comes to mind, Jennifer Stringer/John Kabbes/Blue Ribbon Kennels, Glenn McElroy in Vaiden, I am sure I am forgetting some other good folks due to my lack of caffine. If you are willing to drive about 90 miles, then there are LOTS of good trainers in every direction that could hook you up.

Do it when the girlfriend is not around, or you could just feed the dog some klumpi. If she doesnt like force fetch, the collar conditioning gonna be difficult for her as well. Might need to just dump her. Hey it's hunting season anyway.... get you a new girlfriend in Feb.

Any of the trainers mentioned above will do a good job for you, but most will want and need to do obedience with the dog as well. Most amateurs' idea of obedience and pros standard of obedience are very far apart. Most trainers will want to keep the dog for at least 3 months when sent in for force fetch and rightfully so.

that's a BIG negative - I don't know him, but I am sure the OP doesn't want me royally screwing up his dog - I have a hard enough time trying to fix my own dogs that I keep screwing up
