Do y'all do anything regularly for ear maintenance? Mine has been shaking her head the last few days with itchy ears. They are remarkably clean with no smell. Guess a vet trip is in order.

Had my 5 month old at the vet yesterday and I had him look at her ears and he said they were clean-no mites. She shakes her head sometimes too, I think out of habit and from watching another dog in the pen with her. As soon as the male dog shakes his, she will immediately shake hers. Monkey see, monkey do, I guess. My vet did say I could put peroxide in her ears after her baths and rub it in. I'm giving the male dog a spray in his ears that came from the vet that has Gentop/Micr/IV on the bottle.

go to vet, food alergies can cause ear problems as well. You need to see if the dog has mites, a yeast issue, or something else. Once you figure it out, then maintain.

Mine quit as soon as I took him off corn content in the feed.

+1. I have a friend who has a yellow lab female with food allergies that used to scratch her ears all the time. He had to change her food and now she's fine.
