opening day of deer season and this forum coulnd't be more boring. Is it the weather?

the weather's definitely not helping. If it stays like this, I will be hunting from 6:30 till 7:45 in the morning and then be done.

Got out of my truck this afternoon and was stepping on acorns from two big willow oaks out front. I just shook my head. High in the 90s and the freakin acorns are dropping. WTH? Either that or my squirrels were throwin out their bad groceries.

i agree but man the deer are tearing up my saw tooth oaks during the day, must be the shade

The big water oak in the backyard has started dropping a few acorns. The ones I started finding a couple weeks ago were all bad...but I knew it was only a matter of time til the good ones started falling.

live oak and penn oak in my yard are starting to drop...weather forecast looks better for next week...highs in the mid 80's and lows in mid 60's

The weather is this hot every year (give or take a few degrees, like they matter) and yet people still complain about it like it's some mystery. I would like to see some cooler temps myself but it's October in MS. Furthermore, I have been seeing a lot of deer on the roads and in fields between 6 and 7 every evening so I'm definitely going hunting.

I agree, all a few of these people do is bitch! I don't care if it's 105 degrees and skeeters everywhere, I'll be in a tree. A few of ya'll should change your tampons!
