I just got word that a piece of lease just doubled in the bid process. We got it again, but sheeesh! I also heard that there's a chunk of 16th section on the Quiver River that went from 5K to over 16K in that bid. I think someone tried to money whip the club that had it. What gives...sucking up a bank note looks better every year....

The lease you mentioned isn't even developed for duck hunting. Thirty dollars an acre for marginal deer hunting is pretty dang steep!

I hope things will cool off in the next few years. It's getting to where a poor boy can't hunt anymore.
