snow geese for free?

if snows are sutch a problem to farmers and the population needs thinning so badly,why dont farmers let people have permission to hunt without having to pay?im in north miss and would love to have permission from a friendly farmer or land owner.ill even trade a free mount for permission to hunt them.

Houndog, farmers find value in other things (i.e. money, help around the farm)
We have no "public" land that will hold them snows. Until some greater force thins them out, they will continue to multiply. They have a liberal limit, but, where can they be hunted? Im starting to miss golf

Have you asked any farmers? The odds are better after duck season to get permission. Need permission from more than one farmer but many. Snow geese will change fields often.

I've talked to several farmers over the years that will gladly give you permission to run em off. Just don't tell em that you want to hunt ducks also.

Liability is the main reason why farmers want let just anyone who ask permission hunt their fields for snow geese. If someone gets hurt or killed on their property, the farmer or property owner is the one who is held liable. Show up with a waiver and $200 cash and you may have better luck getting to hunt thoses fields.

Liability is actually significantly lower when permission is given for free as opposed to when $$ is charged......
Nothing in the world will change what people think......but the truth is, that you face almost no liability for someone who is hunting free on your land.....unless you set a trap for them !!
On the other hand, if you charge money, as in a lease or a day hunt routine, the matter changes entirely.....you can have liability for far more problems....
This theory is a general legal theory that holds true in most areas, and if you think about it, makes sense......

even the hay-shakers and crop farmers are aware of the "slip & fall" suits that clog the courts.....haha..... as Tweety bird once said " Him don't know me too well, do he ?"

Judge you sound like one of dem Tort Reformers !!
Didnt you know that we are all Plaintiff's lawyers, just some of us (like me) have no plaintiffs cases ?
An old defense lawyer once taught me to not hate the Plaintiffs bar....something about yeng and yang....laws of nature, for each force there must be an equal and opposite force ??
