Until recently I had a 16hp mud buddy and was very happy with it. I've never had a go-devil, but I have buddies that do and they are quite happy with theirs. At the time I bought it, mud buddy offered the mount that allowed the tailshaft to be spun around into the boat, which made storage a lot easier for me. I have heard that go-devil now offers the same feature.

Ihave a 5 H/P go devil and i have had good luck with it they are the pioneers of mud motors since 1977 , but i hear mudbuddy is good also

muddbuddy all the way i have had mine for 3 years and love it. dont know much about the beavertail and dont anybody with one to here any feed back. stick with wut your gut says to do but you cant go wrong with muddbuddy or go-devil

I've had four different Go-Devils. They have all been reliable. Every three or four years, I would take them in and have the bearing changed out and that was it. I would definately get a Honda motor on one if I was going to buy one new. You can't go wrong with a Honda.

I have a Beavertail with a 5.5 hp Honda engine for two years. No trouble at all. I like the woman in their advertisement. er...thats why I bought one.

I have a friend that is now on his 3rd Beavertail. He says there is nothing better. The owner at Beavertail, Mark Fisher, is a first class guy and goes out of his way to make sure you are happy with his product. Also, they have bearings in the shaft instead of bushings like go-devil. You have to beat them out of a go-devil when they wear. A friend of mine just ordered a boat and one of the new 75hp harley morotrs from Beavertail and he said that Mark Fisher stayed on the phone with him for over 1 hour the first time he called. If customer support is important...Beavertail is the only way to go.

I have a 2003 24hp honda mud buddy and am very happy with it.

Unfortunatley I may be selling it at the end of the season to help pay some medical bills my wife and I will be facing.
