Let's Talk: Trail Camera's

I have been doing some research on trail cameras here of late, and decided to get the opinions from those on here.

As it stands, I'm hoping to purchase 3 cameras. With that said, I'm trying to get the most bang for the buck (who ain't).

I have been looking at the Bushnell line as there seems to be good reviews from most all cameras produced.

Does anyone know anything about te BUSHNELL TRAIL SENTRY 4.0 MP? I can pick it up for less than 100 bones, it seems to have a good review by those whom use it, just wondering if ya'll had any input.

Looking at the trohpy came also, which may be an option (or at least 1 of them), but thought I would check on these.

Not needing the latest and greatest, just something that has good battery life, and will take a decent picture.

Trash, but just my .02cents. If you want some good bang for you buck, go to bass pro and get the Moultrie D-55 IR on sale for $99. Cant beat them in my opinon. I have cuddeback, primos, moultrie and more than satisfied with all of them.

you can pick up some very good homebrew cams for $100 to $150 in both white and IR flash... go to www.chasingame.com for reviews on most any camera out there... or you can get on realdealhuntingchat.com and pick up some homebrews for sale...

I've got 3 trophy cams/Covert cams and love them. I would suggest that.

I don't attach them to the posts. I attach them to the chain link about 6 feet up and point them down. it cuts the glare out. :D :D

I have used leaf river for about 4 years and they are decent but every time you put new batteries in its bumpin $20.

So what ever you do get a camera that uses double A batteries. The money you save on batteries can buy you a lot of new game cams.

I myself run the cheap D-40 moultries. I must have 10 or so and they all work pretty well, at least for a salt lick. Simmons has them on sale right now for $59.95 a piece. I just ordered half a dozen more, you cant beat them for $60 bucks imo.

i had the bushnell trail sentry. i got it at academy for like 60 bucks on sale. went home and programmed it with the password. i used my wedding date as the password and my wife watched me do it. a few weeks later i was getting ready to use it and the damn thing kept saying wrong password... never did get to use it. anybody know a generic password or a way to reset it?

I have a moultrie myself and have never had the 1st problem out of it, but my dad and brother in law both have the trophy cam and they have had up too 600 pictures on them in a month and have not had to change the batteries and the good thing about them is they run off i think 6 or 8 AA's so they are not expensive and they take damn good pictures

DLC Coverts are awesome and very similar to the Trophy Cam. I bought two at the extravaganza today.
