bacon, some jalpenos, and Italian dressing makes em all good.........except well Coots and Henleys (hooded mergansers)!

They got to die too! Plus they're not bad to eat either if they's been fly'n in the grain fields and not the fish ponds.

Spoonies aren't bad eating as long as you don't shoot them off a sewage lagoon. If they have been feeding in grain fields they are ok for table fare.

Let them fly. Quality not quantity. I get down right pissed when I hear about people killing magansers just for the hell of shooting them. Spoonies fit into that catagory. Killer or hunter, you answer the question.

Let me add to my post, If you eat them, kill the $#!+ out of them, If you don't, then what the hell are you shooting them for. For the fun of it so you can feed the coons. pssst.

Jroc your wrong man if cooked right and if they haven't been feeding in fishponds or sewage ponds a hooded merganser is good to eat. Try'em in a crock pot you might surprise yourself.
