While hunting near tippo I found a lanyard
with a variety a bands and calls, I would like to
return the calls and bands but do not know how
to find out who killed the bands without calling them in
bird bands
That's about right......you won't realy know who it belongs to unless you call-in several of the band numbers.
It'd be real interesting to see if they all belong to the same guy or if he bought'em on E-bay.
Call'em in.....then let the rest of us know.
At any rate, I'm sure the owner would like to have'em back.
I commend you for your honesty......like Vicksburg said. Good to know there are still some good folks out there. Anybody that has hunted long enough to have several bands will appreciate how long it takes and how many ducks you have to kill to get'em.

james,
Thank you for being a good Samaritan. Like the other replies stated, call several of the bands in to seeing who killed the ducks those bands came on. The operator works for a company that has been contracted out to take the information for the Bird Banding Lab. The operator may or may not be able to get that information for you, since she doesn’t work directly for the Bird Banding Lab. If you run into a brick wall just let me know, and I would be willing to help you from my end.
Best regards,

Man it sure is good to hear that there still good people in this world. Hats off to you brother and thanks for doing the right thing. I parked my truck this summer at a Corp. boat landing and got back to see a one of a kind Gaston, one of a kind Nasty and some bands on one laynard gone. Probably want see those again. Oh well, guess they weren't brought up like you and I.

Good job James. If it is somone local to Tippo, I will be glad to let 'em know you found the bands and the trouble you were willing to go through to find out who they belonged to. Yall been killing many ducks over this way. Mostly gadwalls and a few mallards right here around the house.
Are we gonna get wet?
