watch ya dogs

My dog had a heat stroke and died this afternoon. He had plenty of water and seemed fine. He was running around while I was cutting grass. Then he went and laid down. I kept getting closer and closer with the mower and he never moved. Got off to check on him. And he was dead. My little boy luckly had went inside and was not out there. It came on quick. He was a great dog and pet. And my sons playing partener. He would even slide on the slide with him. They loved playing in the sprinkler together. Sorry all the memories just hit me. Keep an eye on your dogs and scratch then on the head for me.

I'm so very sorry. I really am. My northern training partners tease me about finding every excuse to not train (ie, heat) but it is real. I choose when to train and what to do carefully. I can't imagine how your son is going to deal with this.

Very sorry to hear about this. Loss of loved ones is so difficult, just remember you did nothing to cause it. What happened happened while you were doing something you did your entire dogs life.
