Anyone know what your annual termite inspection runs? I got a bill for 200 and that seemed a bit high for a 3 block conventional to me.

I got some guy that claims to have completed my inspection in Feb for 195.00. I didnt have a contract with him but the previous owner did. Anyway bottom line I hadnt had it done and as long as I paid him, I should be good rather he did it or not.
The house is 2000 on bottom and 1200 up stairs. I am just betting in Feb he didnt crawl his happy booty under my house without me knowing it. I told him that he should have a deal stating what they found even if they didnt find a thing. Kinda between a rock and a hard place because I had a guy come out when I bought the house and they found where some had been treated.
He half azzed accused me of trying not to pay. I said surely you pass by office every day atleast every other day and you hadn't thought of calling me instead of telling my mother in law. "@#$%#" I was good not thinking about it all afternoon now I done got pissed off again.

right out of highschool i did a little termite work. During any conventional inspections we used to have to write our name and date with a piece of chalk at each corner of the house on the block walls. If i were to have someone inspect for me, they would be asked to do that. Reguardless if you are covered for repair, you don't want to deal with that crap.

Got a buddy in Rohwer, Ark. who has been under contract with Terminix for about 30 years....he had some painters, doing some touch-up work, and discovered termites in a couple of walls....Terminix came out, and said it was old termite damage, and there were no active or living termites, so they weren't gonna pay for the damage.
My buddy knew better, so he waited until night time, when termites are most active, and took a video of them crawling around, eating his woodwork.....after some harsh words and threats of a lawsuit, Terminix came in, and killed the termites, then paid him $13,000 up front for the visible damage, and more, if the repairs revealed more than the initial $13,000 damage.
I thought that was a sheeity way to do business, but at least Terminix came to their senses.
