I am hunting Bayou Meto in mid Dec. This will be my first time to the area and there is about 37K in acres and I'm looking for someone to cut that down to a section or two. Thanks for your comments

the best place is as far as you can get of the main timber, they were so many people there, the boat ramp looked like walmart parking lot. hope you are ready to fight the crowd and good luck.

I went last year with someone from there and guiding another party. It was opening weekend and there was a hunting party every, and I mean EVERY 50 yards. Suffice it to say, there were not enough ducks to go around. We shot, as a group, less than 10 times.

The feds checked everyone on the way out. One was from Philadelphia (MS). He says the pressure subsides in Dec. and we ought to come back then.

My Buddy says that you see a highway dividing the upper and lower and everything depends on the water level. See, they start out low and there is just water in the main pool, maybe that is why it is so crowded.
