The report I got from my farm manager is that the ducks are starting to pour into our rice fields! We had some really good shooting opening weekend but it has been slow since. I hear the water in the Scatters is reaaaallly low! Anyone heard anything different.

I have heard the same report on the low water at the Scatters. Some of my buddies went this week and they couldn't get through the button willow path that leads to the point. They had to hunt in the area on the boat ramp side of the button willows and they didn't fire a shot. Don't know where to go now?

Seems everyone wants to get to the point when they can. This new rule about leaving the boat ramp is going to really hurt the out of towners. Especially if the guys in the leased part to the west decide to go over there. They can leave the ramp anytime they want.

It doesn't matter Lelfore Hunting and Fishing will be wrote a ticket for being in the hunting area before 5. Has nothing to do with the ramp has to do with the hunting area. Thanks to some people getting out there last year at 12 midnight and sleeping in their boats we all suffer the extra strain at the ramp and then getting decoys out. I will be there the loudest sob in the swamp. Yelling at the dog and calling every bird in the sky.
Just joking. I hunt private land near there. Hell with sleeping in the truck our boat for the freeking point, that is not even the best place in there. Good luck
