Been looking for me an all-welded boat and I found a '99 1756 F&F with a 40 hp Mercury, but I don't know much about the quality, durability of these boats. Any opinions, info would be appreciated. Fellow said that he would take $4000 for the whole rig. Thanks.

Man, I don't know the condition of the boat, but that sounds like a pretty good deal to me. If the boat is tip-top then I would probably have to jump on that.

Those boats are bad about getting small, hairline cracks in the hull. These were the boats to have in my area until ALL of them started showing this same problem! Check it out before you buy!

IMHO F&F Boats are the Humvee's of the boats. I have had a 1754 for about 4 years now with a 16 Go Devil on it & it has took a hammering in all the sloughs, cypress bayou's, and ditches I've put it in. Excellent floatation, sturdy and stable. I couldn't ask for a better boat. Bought mine directly from F&F, camoed, floored, lined for $2300. Just my 2 cents

What year model is the 40 merc on the back? Also, what condition is it in?

It is a 99 model also with power tilt & trim. Haven't seen it in person, but the guy said that it was in excellent condition and it had a 30 day warranty.
