whats your thoughts?? i have supported him for a while, but its getting ridiculous. Its just dragging out every year. The famous "next year will be better".. well boys and girls, IT HASN'T GOTTEN BETTER...

I know i know, he is consistent with 20+ wins but when 15 of your games are Non Con games, your SEC Talent SHOULD whoop those teams. Then we get into conference play and shiv hits the fan....we scrape out enough to be one and done into the tourny... well im tired of one and done...

he is a great recruiter, but he does nothing with them once they get here (some even get worse, look at benock). he has zero floor coaching ability, his game plan is "i'm gonna have guys that i hope can run faster and jump higher and shoot better but if you have better athletes or any kind of game plan that neutralizes my teams' athleticness i am screwed because i cant make any kind of in-game adjustments."

im really pleased with the job byrne has done gettin mullen and cohen and have complete faith that he will be able to bring in a coach that can take us to the next level (aka winning more than one game in the big dance)

i would love for stans to get axed today, but in all reality i believe that if he doenst make the sweet 16 in the next two years ol greg will pull the trigger.

Stans is a fine coach. Keep him.

I'm kinda watching what Brady does at Jonesboro Tech. He's making them very competitive in short order, at least in the Sun Belt.

As bad as Arkansas is, Miss St. will never hold a candle to our basketball program. Stansbury is about the best aMm can hope for and if you knew the lengths he goes to try to put a good team in Starkville and hasn't got caught yet doing it you'll never appreciate what he's done. I think he looks like and is a weasel but admire what he's done at aMm.

we're tied with 6 sec west titles each, msu has 2 conference champioships since '91 to ark's 1, and 3 tourney champs to ark's 1.. and we have won the third most games in the sec in the past 10 years behind kentucky (one of the most prestigious programs ever) and florida (who has won two nat'l champs in this time period)......
but once we get to the tournament we have nothing, and that is why stans has to go.

I got to thinking, this Arkansas team is bad, I hate the ginger that's coaching it and think he'll never be top tier. The mofo may get lucky and get enough talent to be decent. I have my doubts. His goal is to survive this year and it seems the worthless pos may pull it off. He might get lucky and land Ratcliffe due to his relationship with Marshawn Powell and Ark's HS class is frankin loaded for 2011. There's not enough scholarships to give to all the talent instate. There's 3 top 50 players and at least two more in the top 150. If Opie Cunningham lands all that he might be able to get in the way of himself. I figure he'll frick it all up.

I'm going down memory lane a bit and remember this complete asswhoopin'. Which further prove my point as to what's happened to college basketball. That team nearly hung a 100 on UNC in the Sweet 16.

If by 15,000 you are referring to attendance I must ask what that has to do with the quality of your team? I believe I already told you msu has 2 conference champioships since '91 to ark's 1, and 3 tourney champs to ark's 1.. also, we split the series this year, so I fail to see how you claim to be so far surperior…..

It's what you do in the NCAA that matters. Pretty damn sad all aMm can muster is a split with the worst Arkansas team since the early 70's.

Here's another reason MSU will never hold Arkansas' jock strap. More NBAers littering the court maybe even the greatest of them all.

You'll never have the following that Arkansas has, it's a @##$% testament to our tolerance as fans that this chit will get straightened out eventually.

that is my point exactly, thats why i say he needs to go. and that was the point of this thread, not to be a pissing match about whose team is better. try to stay on topic buddy..

Been a good run, but nothing is forever. He has done what he can do. I agree totally he is not a good on the court coach. I would like to see him put in charge of recruits and let someone else coach. It will be better than any other gig he will get because others have seen this for years.
