boat ?

Postby ducks&bucks » Tue Nov 25, 2003 10:49 am

I just got the OK to hunt a small track of land and it doesn't have good access the last 200yds or so. I need to have a small boat to keep down there. Just big enough to put out dekes and retreive ducks(until my dog is ready to hunt). It's a small slough, so I'm not worried about current. I don't want to put alot of $ in it because it might get slolen( I dont know anything about the people that live in the area) Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Try to find a used pirogue, or build your own out of plywood and fiberglass.
It might cost you less than $50 and take up a weekend, or several nights after work, but if it does get stolen then you aren't out all that much.

Check out this website

I made this boat about two years over the course of two weekend and it works very well for the type of situation you described. FYI, don't use it on skim ice.
