Man I drove to tunica then to widener and then to Stuttgart. And maybe saw a dozen ducks last week on my way there. But the geese are everywhere. Prob sell all my duck stuff and start hunting geese.

Here is a theory that I have heard bounced around and it makes as good a sense as any: There was wide spread rainfall throughout the the midwest as it was here in late summer and through the fall. The ducks we hunt here usually leave Canada and fly southeast along river bottoms till they reach the Mississippi River system in which they then fly mostly south till they reach us. This has ducks going from Saskatchewan to the Dakotas to Iowa to Illinois/Missoui/Ky to Arkansas/West TN to MS/LA. This season it seems as if the ducks may have puddle jumped their way down the Central Flyaway. This was made possible by the extensive rainfall. Ducks did not have to follow the southeastern course down the river bottoms but were able to just fly directly south taking them from the Dakotas to Nebraska/Kansas/Oklahoma/TX. Our ducks are sitting in the Central Flyaway....or so I am told.
