Well it seems to be that time of year all over again. Now it is my turn to see if all the effort, time, money that I have spent will pay off.
The season opens on the 21st and I’m leaving tomorrow for camp. I will make sure to kiss all the kids before they leave for school tomorrow and give that lady of the house a big hug and pat on the rear before I head out.
This makes the 26th year that our group has hunted together and we all have high expectation this year. Did the Delta Waterfowl deal last night, packed up all the hardware and gear the night before and let the dog out of the pen.

I will continue to have my email read by Miss MSDuckmen and all important messages will be relayed by cell phone all others will be answered when I return. Those that I’m meeting for hunts or trips out of state I will be contacting you closer to that date. (You know who you are)

Things I’m looking forward to is the first flight of incoming mallards
The smell of wet canvas, coffee, and gun smoke
My first kill with a new gun
The bite of cold air, the sun as it breaks the horizon, all the jokes I have planned for those I hunt with.
The first spinner I shoot, and of course the look on the hunters face when I do.
Brandy around the campfire, and old reload at my feet.

Memories we make this year will be with us for a life time, make them worth remembering. Keep God in your heart and your friends and family close.
I enjoy this board and the majority of the people who call this their internet home. Hope you all have a good season. I’ll be seeing many of you hunting this year and wish you the best success possible. I also ask that when you hunt that you are safe, respect the game, your fellow hunters, and other wildlife while you are out.
I’ll be popping back in around Christmas and may give an update but short of that you will not see the MSDuckmen until the end of January. (Yeah I know party time) But I’ll be back….

You people be good and don’t give Micah any trouble while I’m gone.

Better tomorrow
Dan

Why can't this board display c-o-c-k-l-e-b-u-r-r-s

Micah, do you hate them things that bad that you programmed the board to disalloy that word.

If you did---cool trick!
