The last few months there has been alot of rain and flooding going on. With this happening, alot of duck holes are holding more water than usual. With that said.........if you have someone that you are gonna take duck hunting, they are about 5' 2", and the water level will be over their waders.........what would be a good, but simple idea or solution to keep them dry and still be able to enjoy a flooded timber hunt? Also, this is public land and we will not be hunting out of the boat.
Thanks in advance!!

Re: Question????
If you are set on taking them into a situation like that, seems like there are only a few options. I have taken kids hunting in situations like that where I pulled them in a pirogue and let them hunt out of it. The only other options I can think of would be maybe carry one of those dog stands and sink it, or carry a lock on deer stand for them to sit in during the hunt. Simply carry some cut bamboo to put around them and they are hidden and huntin'...
Good Luck!!!

Re: Question????
I have carried a lot of kids and the deer stand idea always worked for us. I liked carrying an Old Man stand out there since it was a two piece and the kid could lay the gun across the brace in front of him. Pull them out there in a boat and sit them in the stand.
Are we gonna get wet?
