wingman question

What is the law on hunting over private land that is accessable by public waters which are flooded?

Had some duck hunters access a slew which on private property. They came from a public waterway but the slew is within private lines. Messed up some good deer huntin in the process.

As long as they stay in the natural banks of the waterway they are legal.
