most dominant player in the nation and again proved the heisman is a popularity contest and not a true award for the best player in the nation.......

They WILL NOT ever give a Heisman Trophy to a Defensive Tackle. Sorry.

bottom line is it shows how important it is to play on national tv...... we all hear these folks talk and think they are idoits..... wow they might know what they are talkin about because until ab week 7 or 8 no one knew this dude and until he showed out in that last game no one was makin threads talkin about how great he is..... yes his numbers do speak for themselves.... but how many times has number been bold enuff for no one to speak and yet it happens.....

in my opinion.... ingram isnt even the best runnin back on his team.... but still deserving of this trophy..... as all of them were..... but thats fine.... number three just might have something in store for folks in the next couple of years.
If it wasn't for bad luck then i would have no luck at all........

How can Ingram be deserving and not even be the best RB on the team? Think this just sums up that it is a popularity contest. IMO

talent wise i dont think he is the best player on the team....... he got the carries to touches to show his talent......

please tell me in your opinion that tyson lee wasnt the best qb on mississippi states depth chart?

several factors lead him to play instead of entrusting a true freshman in the sec.... much like number three for bama.....

thats how.

search my posts.... ive already said richardson in my opinion was better talent wise than ingram.... i cant help that ingram was that good to be in the heisman run and tyson lee wasnt.... maybe that just says for the talent that is being recruited over there.... i dont know.... all im sayin is the same thing ive said for five or six weeks.... that talent wise i dont think ingram is the best runnin back on his team.... but because of the touches he got, the numbers he put together, he was deserving to be apart of that group...... if richardson gets the reverse touches..... then if ingram can win yet.... i think richardson has a shot too.....

i didnt have a vote in it.... so i cant help the way it came out.

same situation as the qb spot.... there is no question that star jackson is the better talented qb.... but appearently he is not ready..... and its hard to pull a kid when he leads u that way.....

there should be nothing confussin about my orginal post.....

talent wise.... i think richardson is better..... i cant help ingram was good enuff to have his name in the hat for the heisman and lee didnt......
If it wasn't for bad luck then i would have no luck at all........

if u would rather me..... i could get on here and boast ab how bama is back and all that crap.... make useless senseless posts that make no sense but always point back to bama.... and claim ingram as the best player in the nation and one of the best ever.... i kind of think i make logical posts.... and am not a bama fan that can never see straight because of my bama goggles..... i tend to not do that..... but i could....

i cant help that ingram won the heisman... him winnin the heisman doesnt make me look stupid for sayin talent wise he is not the best on the team.... perhaps it says something for the amount of runnin back depth that alabama does indeed have this year...... i mean, folks have been talkin about that all year.... not like im pullin $#!+ out of my ass.

I am not griping that Ingram won the Heisman, just agreeing that it is a popularity contest. My thoughts are that the Heisman should be about the best college football player in a given season. Tebow won it the year when he certainly showed being that type of player. This year it would seem that the RB from Stanford or Cornhusker Suh showed those type qualities. Ingram's numbers were good, he seems to be a good kid, but I just do not see where he stands out amongst others, Bama followers even admit he is not their best. That is my opinion, may be why I do not get to vote. If one was to use the logic that Ingram's performance on the field was Heisman worthy, then it would not be wrong to say Dixon's performance this season is just as Heisman worthy. Agree?

typical and I expected that response...

i m not jealous in the least bit because i understand the system and i have long given up merit in the heisman trophy.

the heisman supposedly goes to the best individual/dominant player in the nation not to a team.
So in my "jealous opinion" one of the 5 best rbs(his back up is definitely one of them) in the nation is the heisman winner, while the best, and without a doubt best defensive player in the nation and most dominating player at any position is not.

So my running back ran behind a patchwork short on experience line on a 5-7 team and had just as good and in most categories better year than the heisman winner who ran behind one of the best lines in the nation that's playing for the national championship.....in my jealous opinion

that aint a jealous opinion my man......in the words of the Duke, "fact!"

Thanks and I'll be here all week...............fighting off the crimson Kool-Aid :)
