We are like everyone else probably and do not have water. We have never had to pump, and have never really field hunted much. We are looking to spend roughly $1000 on fuel for our pumps. We have about 500 acres that is supposed to be very wet. I need to know if ya'll think $1000 will give us enough water to hunt or possibly hunt 4 spots. Kind of a broad question I know. Anyone that knows more than I do, feel free to clear me up on anything.

At todays prices thats about 900 gallons of fuel. According to HP and well size you should have more than enough to flood. I wouldn't think you are going to flood the whole 500 acres (ie) flood what you hunt.

We have a 2000 gpm well with a 90 hp Duetz burns about 40 gallons every 24 hrs. took 9 full days to flood 30 acres to where it quit soaking up. We flood about 350 acres with a 2000 gpm. on electric and the bill runs about 3000 to 3500 each year. If your worried about money better find another hobby ducks are eexpensive?

My average $ for pumping a hole is going to be about $650

I hope my babygirls like the pools I got them for christmas, because I spent all their christmas and college fund on pumping.

I have a brand, 16 inch electric well with 60 HP motor. Pumping exactly 100 acres. Yesterday was day 9 of pumping and I am just about done.
May need 2 more days. I hope the electric bill that I get the end of this month does not knock my sox off.
