We just got POUNDED here in Oxford, Tornado Warnings and everything. I kinda wish it would have rained more before the big high pressure front moved through - to fill up some low duck holes. It doesnt look like any more rain is comin' for a while. Hey Delta Duck-are there any birds in your neck of the woods yet?

I did see a duck!!!! I also saw where a combine ran over one of your sled blinds.
I went around and put some boards in alot of the risers this week.
#11 and #13 were full of water.
#13 had about 50-75 birds on it. After this rain #1,7,8,9 should have some water. Mr. Nick came down to sink the #4 pit. Since the rain I guess he will have to do it later.
When are you going to get down?

Hey Judge...did you hunt this front? I figured you could have picked up a dove or two hunting out of the "storm shack" as the front blew through. You'd a had a field day if it were duck season.

Yeah, John.....I've learned to have things 'grounded'. We've been 'hit', twice in the past 3 years. We didn't have any damage last night...how 'bout ya'll?
I was in bed, asleep, when that first 'clap' of thunder sent both dogs diving under the covers, with me.

Yeah, that was a rockin' wind, for sure......'saw a flock of 40 snows tyring to find their way back to the Mississippi River, this morning about 8:30. ('Saw'em over Columbus). 'Musta blown'em clean over into Alabama.
'Ever heard..."Lost as a goose in a hail storm?"....rings true, doesn't it?
Reminds me of the last time we had a storm Oh no, another story ('bout this time last year or year before).....geese flew around here (all hours of the day and night), for three days.....tyrin' to get back 'on course'. Seems to me like every year sometime around Thanksgiving there are Snows flying everywhich direction over Tupelo and NorthEAST Mississippi. There were so many last year it woke me up at about 11 PM and I went outside and there were hundreds flying pretty low over my house, and I live in the "city" of Tupelo. This is the only time I ever see a lot of snows in NE Miss.
