I hunted from daylight to 11:30 yesterday and did not see a deer. Two weeks ago there were deer in every food plot all day long. Must be the moon.

Yesterday evening, 11/1/09 from about 415pm till dark, I had a number of deer working in the field I was hunting over. Saw a couple more on the way out. Two 6 points, a doe and a spike in the field I was hunting over. I was concerned for the moon too, but it didn't seem to stop the bachelor groups from mingling at about 50 yards from my tree at dusk. It was pretty cool to watch the two young bucks playfully sparring with the doe just watching and probably laughing as they "compared" racks. I think if they are going to move, they will move regardless of anything. I've seen deer at all times and pretty much all places. Even the dead of summer heat during mid-day (not that I'm hunting in the summer, but during scouts)..

I saw a total of 85 deer this weekend sitting on the stand. Saturday I had a few small bucks but no shooters in the morning, that afternoon I had 17 deer in the food plot at once. Sunday I didn't see any bucks all does and fawns.
