Land pics, smartweed.

Here's a couple pics of the land I was talking about in the other thread.
Here's just a small sample of the smartweed. There's
several acres of this stuff.

Right in fron of the guys you will see some willows. If you step through the willows, you have this:

I'm hoping the ducks will use this area to land and swim to the edges of the smartweed to feed. Thoughts? I still intend to make some holes in the smartweed in certain areas.
Here's a picture of just one of our holes in the gum brake. There's a gas line running through there and it looks pretty good. The gums to the right are pretty thick and cover several acres.

I personally think you've wasted your money. Ducks aren't going to use any of that!

what the he!! kind of a comment is that. you are making that assumption off of 3 pics and a little smartweed thread. i didn't notice any sarcastic references so i guess your giving your honest opionion, which you are entitled to, but give me a brake fella. I don't have a dog in this race as far as shooting birds on this property, but i hope ya'll smash'em dead driveby. i think it looks ducky and you are in a good area. are ya'll planning on just running your bikes in that smartweed to open a hole, or you going to try and spray it?????

I almost hate to even reply to this for the sake of being associated with Driveby, but seeing as how I'm in the first pic......

LOL!!! Stray1 is one of the ugly fellas you met a few weeks back.

If I were you I would kick him in the knee the next time you see him for messin' with you.

I'm not sure what the strategy will be on opening the holes yet. I think we are going to tie Stray1 behind a 4 wheeler and use him as a drag to knock it down.

There's a place I hunt occasionally floods which looks just like that 3rd pic but it is only knee to waist deep. We shoot the crap out of some gadwalls on it.
