I have seen cougars in Tx before.. But this one looks a little fake. Look at the left front leg.. It is awful straight. And I would think the cougare would need a better grip on that deer's neck to drag him off.

hey Wink , funny thing is , a cat that size could drag that deer with only three legs. Cats mouth is crushing the throat , left leg over the shoulder just for balance till the cats SURE the deer is dead and can't fight. Trust me ........that cat would have NOoooo problem with a deer that size ( assuming pic is not fake) . Good friend of mine once had 3 cougars , come over some time and I'll show ya the videos.
And yes, I have grabbed a tiger by the tail !

I don't doubt they could do it.. The pic just looks photoshopped to me.. The leg drapped over the deer looks unproportianlly straight and big,,

Guy on our lease shot one once.. Said it spun around twice on the ground and we started to track it.. The blood led to a little opening in the underbrush.. Since I was the smallest one out there they said, "Why don't you go in after it"

I politly declined.
