Just shows how political even the peace prize is now. How can he be awarded the peace prize not even a year into his first term? He ain't done anything yet.

I'd like a Nobel prize for duck hunting. If they give out Nobel prizes for hobbies like environmental extremism, why can't I have one for duck hunting?

Maybe because he called a couple of dudes that he cussed to come have a beer at his house with him, or maybe because he sent the Jackson family flowers to acknowledge the death of a known pedifile.

I don't know why I let this bother me, why I care, or why I expect anything less. The country and world as we know it,
is in it's darkest days. I'm depressed now.

This, like all of the other praise heaped on this fella, is going to backfire. Even people who work on his staff cannot believe he received this award. It is now a political award (see Al Gore winning a Peace Award for his MMGW mess). Obama receives incredible amounts of praise that is without merit and without reason. Even the most staunch liberals will begin to see this and I believe it is human nature to resent those that received undeserved praise.
Obama, in my opinion, is set up for one of the biggest political falls in history. He has accomplished nothing so far as president aside from acquiring massive amounts of debt.
Even the things he promised his faithful are not fullfilled: (1) Close Guantanamo - No; (2) Leave Iraq - No; (3) Fight a better war in Afghanistan - Nope; (4) Healthcare for All and at a Lower Cost/No Cost to Government - Impossible; (5) Will not attempt to raise taxes on middle-class - Everything they propose will raise taxes.
People resent overrated and Obama is the posterboy for overrated and it will slowly but surely destroy his political career. This is not to say that whoever replaces him will be any better. Only that he is not what he is being billed to be and it will cost him personally.
