They are pretty awesome machines. We have 2 for work and they are great when you have a load of folks to carry. They will go through more mud than the regular cab or a 4 wheeler due to the long/wide wheel base. Negatives are that they don't handle well in the woods and if you are sitting in the backseat you will have black boogers for a week because all of the dust sucks into the backseat. Pros & Cons brother!

This is one topic that I have been meaning to post up about. Im about to take a job over in Alabama that has been offered to me. Although I want start the job until I finish up my degree in May. I have always said I was going to buy my dad and I a Ranger or Mule to hunt out if when I graduate. Im starting to put a little back for it now, and really dont know what the avg price is for these machines. I have a few ideas but what is a good avg price for a new model ranger?

do not, i repeat do not buy mule. I have new ranger crew and mule diesel crew. The mule gets stuck in wet gravel. no cup holders. the ranger will go through anything. like the previous post in tight spaces the long wheel base is wide turning. the ride is no comparision. the ranger is smooth and comfortable the mule is a mule. the only down side to the ranger is back seat gets hot during the summer because the engine is directly under. got the ranger my second in west point ms, sonny jamison. great folks to work with

I really appreciate all the helpful post. I have looked into the problem about the dust in the back seat. There is a company out of FL that sells metal plates that bolt on in various place to keep the dust from coming up in the cab. Thought I would pass that along, I'll try to find the website and post it. Duckkiller I know I have shop around quit a bit and the lowest price I've found on a base unit green in color crew is $11,400. Duckkiller what part of Bama are you moving to?

Just picked up this 2010 LE crew on Saturday....This machine is the bomb!. I've added a 2" prolift (rangerprolift.com) since I took these picture (thanks for the help negligently installing it last night, Ducklord). It's amazing how much more clearance I have now. I've also added 27" ITP mud lite tires on 14" ITP ss212 black rims for the mudhole (tire set was like $850 upgrade), and I kept the stock tires to ride on the pavement/trails, if needed. Was going to go with the camo, but fell in love with this color. Made the drive to Shoal's in Tuscambia, AL, to make sure the color was not going to stick out in the duck hole (the sound of "sandstone metallic" kinda scared me at first), and also b/c they guarantee the best price in the nation. $11,695 + small set-up fee (like $100) out the door...no tax b/c i am not an AL resident. My local dealer was like $1,000 more + they were going to charge me tax.... The base green was like $10,600 or something at Shoals. Call Greg Traynam at Shoals and tell him Jared sent you....

some folkes are having this problem, and this is part of the reason I went to test it out before buying it....the rumor is that they were delayed for a while to fix this problem..

i installed it correctly, the manufacturer of the lift clearly doesn't know how it is supposed to be installed. :D

I just bought one here in Kazakhstan and we use it everyday in golf contruction and it is holding up great to everyday use in construction. Rocks, mud no problem. We are in the mountains and can't wait for the snow next month. I have tried them all and would buy another to hunt with. No doubt!!!
