Has anyone ever used camoclad or similar product on an aluminum boat? I was wondering if it was worth it or if I'd be better off to just try and paint it?

Paint seems to work well for me.

#1 camoclad isn't cheap.
#2 if you ding your boat it's not a simple repair
#3 it doesn't hold curves that great like a high grade vinyl would. so you have to make relief cuts to follow a curve and now your making holes where it could get torn.
I could go on with more, but when comparing it to paint, I'd just paint the boat. Much easier to take a paint brush and touchup a scratch or nick in the paint.
