I have been reading the posts asking "What were you doing 8 years ago" and there are some interesting comments.
It hasn't been but a week or so that I heard someone state that the crashs were planned. George Bush knew it was going to happen and did nothing about it so he would have an excuse to go after Saddam Hussein since he had put out a hit on his father 10 years earlier. These must be the same people that don't believe to this day that we went to the moon.

cant comment on that, if there was any knowledge I dont believe it was specific...yes we probably knew an attack on some level at soem time was being planned

I do however think we shot the fourth plane down...once we realized what had/was happening and saw the trajectory drastically change (and we had fighters in the air at that point) I think someone made the call to shoot it down

tack on to that the known heroic story of the passengers desire/attempt to take back the plane and you have a nice cover up

but think about it though, both towers hit, pentagon hit and fourth plane in the air that does an about face directly for Washington

I agree with Doc, I do believe that the Gov new there was an attack being planned and possibably even knew a time frame of when it was going to happen. But I do not think they had enough details to stop the attacks.

if we really knew that we were about to be attacked to you really think the president is in florida reading to some kids in a unsecure location.


i have always wondered if we shot the 4th aircraft down. I understand if we did and I understand the reasoning behind never saying we did as well.

Well, George Bush did schedule a fishing trip in lower 9th ward days after Katrina so anything is possible I guess.

All kinds of conspiracy theories regarding "what" hit the Pentagon. I myself am not sold on the fact that a plane hit it after reading and seeing the photos. Google "Plane that hit Pentagon" and reach your own conclusions.

Well, I think the plane hit the Pentagon. There were parts of the plane seen on tv and there was a plane full of passengers that went missing. If it didn't end up in the Pentagon, where is it?

My guess is there was "chatter" about the attack, but nothing specific as to when, where or how the attacks would be carried out.. If Bush knew, I don't think there would be anyway he would let it happen. IMO Bush had/has a very strong moral character, and I do not believe he would have let any American die, if he could have stopped it.

I belive Plane 1 went into WTC 1, Plane 2 went into WTC 2, Plane 3 went into the Pentagon, and Plane 4 went into the field in PA by the efforts of the Passengers.

In retrospect, very little was ever mentioned/covered by the media as to the passengers of the Pentagon Plane and the specifics of the crash. Many conspiracy theorists have raised valid questions. Again, Google it and do some searching, then come back with some addtional theories - it just might make you raise an eyebrow.

I'm sorry. But I cannot believe that anyone - Democrat or Republican - can be so politically greedy that they would knowingly allow a terrorist attack to be committed against this country. For one thng, that would require so much control of other extremely greedy politicians from both parties, that manipulation of circumstances would be impossible.
