What type do y'all find works best, spinning wing, butt up feeders, swimmers, jerk string, mallard machines. I have seen em all and the spinners seem to work great in early season, but not in late season. Butt up feeders with bilge pump works pretty good, but is a pain to deploy. Jerk strings seem to be the best overall for me...

a snorkel and a wetsuit will work best. put you some feathers on the tip of the snorkel. may want to put some uv paint on the snorkel too. if you can hold your breath long enough you wont even need the snorkel just come up and ambush them like rambo used to do.

Do the butt up feeders with the bilge pump make good natural motion consistently? To lazy to create a new topic..

Try the Super Wonderduck Tornado. $99.95. It works great all season. You can Google wonderduck to find it.

the butt ups with bilge pump work really well, I made some with a remote control tha operates 2 butt ups and a swimmer, just a bitch to deploy, (not really, bout 15 minutes).

7 to 10 spinners around a jerk string and a mallard machine always does the trick. make sure to throw in 4 goose decoys, 79.67 pounds of corn and a blue heron confidence decoy about 76 yards south southeast of your spread.

Have found that using a good old fashioned jerk string mixed in with 3 quiver ducks on calm days and a mallard machine seem to work the best. I am not a fan of spinning wings because everyone and there mom uses on and I have had more luck without them.

if you put the quivers really close to the mallard machine the greenheads they cant resist cause it looks like a big ole or gy and the clattering sound it makes sounds like ducks eating cut corn on bottom. dont forget to put the uv paint on the tails and i even like to glue on some real feathers. we even put some flashing strobes on there and is visible for miles.

Made a couple of butt-up feeders with the bilge pumps last year. Worked great-- 90%+ of the birds we killed were heading straight for those decoys. Even when using big rigs, the bilge decoys made the birds focus in right where we wanted them to. They look awesome, very natural, and using 2 6v deer feeder batteries rigged to put out 12v will last about 7-8 hours. PM me if you want more detail and I'd be happy to send you pics of mine and instructions on how to make them. (These decoys can be made for less than half the price you'd pay for a Higdon Pulsator.)
