Gonna break out the Mohawk 6mm I got from my uncle last year.. This thing hasn't been in a deer blind since the mid 80's.. Still looks like the day it was bought complete with Redfield Tracker 3x9x40 scope. Gonna have to find me a good bullet for it though..

Yeah... I got a the 95 Grain SST from Hornady and 100 Grain soft point in the sleeve. But they have come out with some new loads for the 6mm also.. I just haven't settled on which one I want to use yet.

I would probably get in a lot more hunting if I did bring back the mullet, cause my wife would likely kick me out..

Chad - is this rifle from your Uncle that recently passed?
If so, I think it would be a great tribute to him to hunt with it the entire season.

Yes it is.. Funny thing about this gun is that, my Dad had one exactly like it when I was growing up.. I loved that gun, but when my Dad passed away it wasn't in his safe.. He had given it to his 2nd wife's son.. I was a little dissapointed that I didn't get it, but the he is a good kid and I wasn't to upset about it... Last year I was telling my uncle about it, that Stephen got the that gun.. My uncle opened up the safe and handed me this one. It is identical to the one my dad had right down to the rings and scope. My uncle said, "here take this one, your dad liked that gun so much he bought 2 of them. One for him and one for me". So I have the next best thing to that gun... My uncle was even more of a gun collector than my Dad.

I have gotten it out.. But I can't remember how.. I will go home this afternoon and try it again.. If I remember correctly you have to take the stock off.. Which aint that hard, two screws and its off.. I have read where you can replace the plastic trigger guard with a metal one...

Barnes triple shock bullets are the greatest thing I have found for small caliber guns

You have to take the stock off.. At least on mine..
