obedience corrections

I'm following fowl dogs as my training program. Its a fairly easy DVD to watch and has a lot of good information for beginners. The only problem I've run into is the obedience corrections. He does his training on a lead so all corrections are with the lead.

That's nice and all but how do you correct a pup when your out doing afternoon throwing marks and I say sit and she just stands there, what's the best way to reinforce to sit. Or heal.

Would this be the time to break out a lead and immediately start more ob or do I whip her butt once and say sit? Just a little lost on these points.

Thanks in advance.

Dude, I've invited you several times to come out and train with me. I'm more than willing to help you and your pup. The offer still stands....

Will you be around tomorrow, Sunday the 26th?

I know you've offered and I do appreciate it. I was always taught not to wear out a welcome so that's why I was hesitant. No disrespect towards anyone that's offered to help. I'll take you up on this one. If your not around tomorrow just let me know when you are and I'll swing by.

Thanks again.
