Never had a hog on the place, to much crop land between us an the big black, I would think not to have heard about them already. Bout a 1 mile from the river an no one between us which is all corn an beans has said a word.

I think lightning would show a dark spot where the voltage burnt where it struck.

My first thought is Hogs. They are nasty SOB's and will destroy anything and everything. Any prints?

Yes there were ears on them, some ate some not. You really think it was coons? If so, I need someone with a coondog to get in touch with me. I would think I could get a depredation(sp) with that pic, what you think?

Are any of the stalks bitten off about 10 to 14 inches above the ground if so you have at least a sow and pigs. I have seen 500 acre fields that look untouched until you walk 25 rows in then it looks like a tornado hit.. If you find tracks or wallow you need to eliminate the problem quick or in a few years you and your neighbors are in some serious trouble.
