Brian Michaels in Starkville

Saw this mentioned in another thread. If you have not bought meat from this place yet you are missing out. Stuffed pork chops are amazing and his pinwheels are the best thing there in my opinion. He has some great stuff in there including seafood and specialty cheeses(try a few of them) that are great.

he got any hoghead cheese?

It's hard to find places that still has hoghead cheese. There was a place around Baton Rouge that a salesman used to bring some in all the time, but he hasn't been around here and needless to say, we haven't gotten any hoghead cheese either. Boy that was some good stuff. Could make a meal with it in itself.

i'll ask next time in there. it may have been souse that i saw, but i saw something like it.

There is a grocery store in Morganza(north of New Roads and South of Batchelor) right before you get on the levee that sells reall hog head cheese, if I remember correctly.

I cooked a bacon chedar cheese burger from brians a couple days ago and let me tell you it was good. This fella knows how to make some food dishes. Heard his stuffed pork chops are very tasty as well.
