Looking for a stud dog

Postby timbercreekretrievers » Tue Jun 09, 2009 3:31 pm

A customer of ours is looking for a stud dog. He has an HRCH chocolate female out of Roux and HRCH Gator Point's Double Dipper SH. If you have a stud available or know of one, please respond to this posting or send me a pm. We are looking for an EIC clear dog to breed with. He would prefer to find a HRCH, GRHRCH, MH, or field trial titled dog. She will be coming in season in the next few weeks.

Thanks,
Kristian Henry

I would highly recommend Frank Price's (Wingmagic's) Roux. Joe Perron's Bud is also off Dakota's Roux. (I think)

I have a pup out of Cat Squirrel's GRHRCH Maya by Wingmagic's Louisiana Roux that I am very pleased with. I would highly recommend Wingmagic's Roux, but for a Dakota Roux bitch, I have no idea... Im sure others on here can help with the exact matching of traits/tolerances.

I'm assuming your looking for a chocolate stud. Only one I know of that isn't out of Roux that is worth anything around here is 5xGRHRCH Thunder Bays Bruno MH, Bruno has one master national pass and will be running the master national in october. He's by far the nicest chocolate I've had the pleasure of being around. Ronnie Lee has trained him so you'll probably need to touch base with him for more information. If you need his number call me for it. I don't give it out on the web becuase he gets to many calls as it is.

Bruno is Merval Landry's dog. I have trained with him many times at PHRC, and Bruno is NICE.

I do lots of research on chocolate lines.

Gumbo was a VERY nice dog. I wouldn't hesitate to own another dog by him, depending on the bitchline.

FWIW, my female GRHRCH UH Maya is both an EIC and CNM carrier....not that I care, I love her the same...

WingMagic La Roux is a EIC carrier. Like Gumbo, I wouldn't hesitate to have another pup out of him. I retained a puppy from my litter and he shows more promise than his mom did at his age.

Merval owns Bruno. He is nice dog. Don't know his status but like the way he runs.

I would call Mary Tatum and ask about Howdy. I like that Lean Mac/Tayduh line. Another option mite be Kippy Kemp (Blue).

Hi Kevin,

What's happening with your pup? The one I kept out of the Roux/Tyra repeat looks very good so far, but who knows, I might be looking for a pet home for him next week!

Thanks Mark.

Roux has some pups that are doing extremely well. Ammo is at the top of the list - literally. See http://www.findretrievers.com/search/de ... yearly.php for the leaders for the 2009 National Derby list. Ammo is way out in front and still has over 4 months to run. :D :D :D

It appears that a little field trial history will be made this year if Ammo does indeed go on to be the 2009 National Derby Champion.
Ammo is already the all time high point chocolate.
It will be the first chocolate NDC.
It will be the first time an NDC has been sired by a choc.
First NDC to be whelped by a choc.

To the best of my knowledge and research, Ammo is the youngest dog (any color or breed) in history to WIN a derby (8 months). Fortunately, she isn't the only pup that he's sired that is doing very well.

Take care and thanks again,

Hey Frank,

He's lookin VERY good. A little behind where I'd like him to be, but that's not his fault. I've had another matter demanding my attention.
Quick to learn and excellent marker. I do need to stretch him out on big water.......
